Log off from or into CiRRUS
Click on the User account menu item
Go to the Two factor authentication tab
Click on Setup Authenticator App and follow the instructions
Click on Verify
Click on the CiRRUS menu item and choose your site

Detailed Description

You can use two-factor authentication for logging into CiRRUS.

To set two factor authentication, open CiRRUS in the web browser and log on or off, if you are already in CiRRUS. Then click on the User account menu item. You are now in the user account administration.

Go to the Two factor authentication tab and click on Setup Authenticator App. Follow the instructions and click Verify.

NOTE: You require an additional application if you wish to use the Authenticator. One smartphone application you can use is the Microsoft Authenticator, for example. The Authenticator is available for Android and iPhone and can be downloaded from the respective stores.

To return to the sites view, click on the CiRRUS menu item and choose your site.

You now have set up two factor authentication. This function is active immediately.

When using CiRRUS via a mobile device, it may happen that texts are translated independently by the device/browser.
