Click on Create new and choose the Scancode rule type from the dropdown menu in the "Type" field. Enter a suitable prefix in the "Prefix" field and the corresponding total length of the scancode to be created in the "Code total length" field. Enter the desired scancode designation in the "Name" field and click on Save. Enter suitable context in all other fields.

Click on Save to save your entries. Click on the arrow icon to return to the previous view.

You now have defined basic data for configuring a scancode and can continue with entering additional characteristics.
