In CiRRUS, you can split the payment process into cash and card payment. You can do so if the customer wishes to pay in cash for only part of the amount, including in several currencies, and the remainder by card.
To split up a payment, go to POINT OF SALE START under the POINT OF SALE menu item. You are now in the Point of sale view. Choose the desired point of sale terminal.
Now complete the sales process as usual. Choose the desired products. Answer the age restriction query, if applicable. Use the scanner to scan any loyalty card shown by the customer.
Now initiate the payment process by clicking on To pay. First, complete the cash payment of the desired partial amount in the primary currency. If the customer wishes to pay another partial amount in another currency, click on the button with the corresponding currency code and continue with collecting the payment in a foreign currency.
Now complete the card payment of the remaining amount using the desired card payment means. Let the customer process the payment on the EFT terminal, then click on Payment successful. Click on Print receipt in the window that has just popped up if the customer desired a receipt, otherwise click on X or press the Escape key and close the Payment complete message.
Note: First complete the cash payment (including in several currencies), then the card payment.
You now know how to split up the payment process into cash and card payments and thus can meet your customers’ requirements.
