Detailed Description

In CiRRUS, you have numerous options for processing a sales process at the point of sale terminal. If the EFT card terminal breaks down, for instance, you can use a manual imprinter for manually processing credit card payments (only possible for cards with raised print) as an emergency solution.

To process a credit card payment using an imprinter, go to POINT OF SALE START under the POINT OF SALE menu item. You are now in the Point of sale view. Choose the desired point of sale terminal. Now complete the sales process as usual. Choose the desired product. Answer the age restriction query, if applicable. Use the scanner to scan any loyalty card shown by the customer.

Now initiate the payment process by clicking on To pay. Choose the corresponding imprinter as the payment type. If the customer decides to use another payment type in the meantime or you wish to park the transaction, click on X or press the Escape key to abort the process and return to the basket.

Otherwise, create the manual carbon copy of the credit card with an imprinter, write the amount to be paid on the original for your bank, ask the customer to sign the original and hand the customer the copy in the middle and their payment card. You retain the bottom copy for your accounting records and audit of payment receipt by the bank.

Now continue on the point of sale by clicking on Payment successful to confirm the correct completion of the payment. Click on X or press the Escape key in the window that has justed popped up and close the Payment complete message. A receipt is printed automatically, depending on the pre-set parameters.

Now you know the manual payment process using an imprinter.
