SALE VIA PRODUCT SEARCH
- Open POINT OF SALE START under the POINT OF SALE menu item
- Choose a point of sale terminal
- Type the product in the Search field (e.g. - product name, product number or EAN code)
- Choose the desired product
- Click on X to abort the query
- Answer the age restriction query, if applicable
- Click on the quantity of a product in the basket to increase or decrease the quantity, if required
- Scan the loyalty card, if available
- Click on To pay
- Choose the currency in which the customer wishes to pay
- Complete the payment using the desired payment type
- Pay out any change due
- Click on Print receipt, if desired
- Click on X or press the Escape key and close the Payment complete message
In CiRRUS, you can complete a sales process at the point of sale terminal using the product search. Depending on the configuration of the point of sale terminal, you can quickly and simply complete all transactions.
To complete a sales process by using the product search, go to POINT OF SALE START under the POINT OF SALE menu item. You are now in the Point of sale view. Choose the desired point of sale terminal. Enter a corresponding search term in the Search field, such as the product name, product number or EAN code to start a targeted search. To start the search process, you need to enter a minimum of 3 letters or numbers. Now choose the desired product or click on X to abort the query and start a new search, if required. For all products that are available as individual products or as part of a multipack, a query is displayed regarding the desired packaging unit. Answer this query and click on Apply. Answer the age restriction query, if displayed, as described in the separate chapter. If the following functions are activated, you can click on a product in the basket to increase or decrease the quantity and issue a discount, if required. Click on the trashcan icon next to each product to remove it from the basket, if required. Use the scanner to scan any loyalty card shown by the customer.
Now initiate the payment process by clicking on the To pay button. If the customer wishes to pay in a currency other than the primary currency, click on the button with the corresponding currency code. Complete the payment using the desired payment type and pay out any change due. Click on Print receipt in the window that has just popped up if the customer desired a receipt, otherwise click on X or press the Escape key and close the Payment complete message.
You now know how to use the product search for completing the sales process at the point of sale terminal. You can freely combine the product search with additional options available to you, such as scanning and entering the product with the touch screen, during one sales process.
